With all this new weight gain and your body constantly growing, you will most likely not be able to fit a lot of your favorite clothes. That being said, it doesn’t mean you have to wear frumpy maternity clothes! You can make this new look fun and most importantly still comfortable! Wearing cute clothes is a form of expression and makes us feel confident. So do some spring cleaning and opt for stretchy knit materials or long woven floral print maxis for those times you want to dress up.
Casual Maternity Looks: (like the one pictured above)
There is countless stretchy knit fabric dresses you can wear that show off the bump. I was so excited when I actually started showing that I loved showing off my bump. For my everyday look, I usually wore a bodycon dress paired with a kimono or cardigan. ASOS has so many great affordable maternity dresses. I’ve linked some below with some similar cardigans.
Dressy Maternity Looks:
For my baby shower I wore two different dresses because why not?! This one was the comfortable option. It was a beautiful stretchy multi way tie dress. I LOVED this dress because there was so much room for me to grow and also versatile ways I could tie it to create different looks. It was my go to dress for any special occasion.

If you are like me and you can’t decide between two dresses so you opt for having both, then maybe you will want a more fun option too! This pink ombre one was a woven high to low dress with a ruffle neckline and hem. I thought it was so cute since I was having a girl and the pink was a great way to showcase this so I changed into this one towards the second half of my babyshower. The brand is Blue Life and it is from Planet Blue. If you are familiar with this brand you probably already know how comfortable their fabrics are even for a woven dress. Unfortunately this dress sold out but I linked similar looks and fabrics to this one below:
Last but not least, lace is already stretchy so it is the perfect material for maternity style! These were my favorite lace dresses during pregnancy. They were gorgeous, flowy, and I got so many compliments in them.. Free people was my favorite maternity brand too if you are just looking for an easy one stop place to shop.
